Trend Micro has partnered with Wipro Technologies to provide virtualisation security offerings for dynamic datacentres.
Under the partnership, the companies will develop new offerings that help secure public and private cloud computing environments. The companies are building Centers of Excellence to address the data protection, security and compliance needs of virtualised datacentres and market demand for server consolidation.
The companies said that the mutual customers will be able to leverage the benefits of Trend Micro enterprise security offerings through Wipro’s approach for deployment. With access to combined expertise at these Centers of Excellence around the globe including the US, UK, Australia and Japan, enterprises will be able to better focus on their core business competencies.
As part of the agreement, the companies will provide joint virtualised data centre security and datacentre consolidation offerings using security products from Trend Micro and other mutual partners. Wipro becomes a global reseller of Trend Micro products that encompass threat management, web, messaging, server and endpoint security.
In addition to Trend Micro, Wipro has the largest Centers of Excellence for Hewlett-Packard/Mercury, EMC and Cisco.
Wael Mohamed, senior vice president of business development at Trend Micro, said: “We have entered into a strategic relationship with Wipro for their global expertise in technology services. This agreement allows us to create security that fits – customisable, scalable solutions that enable enterprises to protect confidential data and take advantage of the benefits of virtualisation and cloud computing without compromising the security of their dynamic datacentres.”
