Information Technology, consulting and outsourcing company Wipro Technologies has entered into a pact with web-based omni-retailing and supply chain offerings provider VendorNet to address retailers’ challenges when it comes to synchronising channels and having a single cross-channel view of inventory.
Under the partnership, VendorNet Commerce Suite will be resold and integrated with Wipro’s ENCORE e-commerce platform, which will help retailers overcome organisational and cultural hurdles that are inherent to the adoption of an omni-channel business model.
With combined Wipro and VendorNet offerings, retailers will be provided with a view of all their sales and fulfillment channels to enable a buy anywhere, anytime customer experience and enhances their operations by linking inventory across channels including online, store and dropship suppliers to source products from the most efficient locations.
VendorNet’s offerings includes, a StoreNet Live for in-store pickup, ship-from store and ship-to store; Dropship Manager, Stock PO Manager; Order Broker for distributed order management; and an SKU Trak for inventory tracking technology, as well as, add-on modules for returns and event management.
Wipro Technologies Retail, CPG, Transportation & Government senior vice-president and head Srini Pallia said through the VendorNet partnership, the ENCORE platform will be better equipped to fulfill sales by optimising inventory to meet online demand and deliver a best-in-class customer experience.
"The ability to leverage store inventory to augment the online experience, provides enhanced customer experience and meets the dynamic needs of today’s cross-channel customers," said Pallia.
