Windows 9 could now be set for 2014 release

Twitter rumour: it's coming sooner...

By Cbr Rolling Blog

Windows 9, Microsoft’s next attempt to reclaim its OS credibility, could actually arrive in October 2014, as opposed to the April 2015 date we earlier reported.

Twitter user and hacker WZor, who is know for his Microsoft rumour reputability, tweeted that the next build for manufacturers (also known as the RTM release) will be distributed this October 21, just short of two years after the initial launch of Windows 8.

wzor

If this rumour is true, it compoletely cements the idea that Windows 8 just isn’t working for MS, and it also questions how authentic this GDR1 upgrade for Windows 8.1 might be if a new OS is inbound in just 9 months.
