WeWebU Software, maker of standard software for enterprise information management (EIM), and Saperion, an enterprise content management (ECM) software provider, have entered into technology cooperation agreement.

The companies said that the ECM suite of the Berlin-based cooperation is complemented with the technologies of WeWebU’s OpenECM-Framework, especially the product SAPERIONvelocity that is benefited from it.

WeWebU said that the partnership with Saperion underlines the new strategy of the company to position itself as international, independent software maker for enterprise information management.

Rudolf Gessinger, CEO of Saperion, said: “The OpenECM-Framework complements Saperion very well. Thus, we were able to develop Saperionvelocity fast and bring the web-based user-friendly electronic file quickly to the market. The framework allowed us satisfying the market’s demand on content enabled vertical applications (CEVA) in next to no time. Analysts like Gartner see CEVAs as strategic topic for the coming months.”

Joerg Limberg, COO of WeWebU Software, said: “This cooperation is a classical win-win situation for us. We are proud that Saperion decided on using WeWebU technologies for implementing Saperionvelocity. Furthermore, the cooperation with Saperion also helps us to systematically further develop our own products towards open standards like JCR or CMIS.”
