WaveMarket, a provider of mobile location-based platforms and applications, has unveiled tools for easier access to its Veriplace cloud-based location platform. It has posted open-source software development kits (SDKs) in both PHP and .NET, adding to the Java SDK already available on its developer site.
According to WaveMarket, the Veriplace Location Aggregation Platform enables developers of Facebook, web, mobile web, SMS, and voice applications to remotely locate feature phones and smartphones through its direct connections into multiple tier one carrier networks.
The company said that the Veriplace platform provides a single cloud-based location API that eliminates the complexity of various location technologies, networks and devices. It enables carrier location infrastructure, mobile devices both smartphones and feature phones to be located remotely when they are indoors or outdoors using a variety of location technologies.
