Virtualisation and cloud infrastructure company VMware has introduced new Compliance Reference Architectures, a set of resources that include application guides and design architectures which claims to simplify compliance for business-critical applications in the cloud.
The new reference architectures are designed to help customers and partners build and deploy cloud infrastructures that allow business-critical workloads in the cloud to meet compliance standards.
VMware Compliance Reference Architecture for PCI is first series of reference architectures that will enable customers ensure their virtualised business-critical applications are PCI-compliant.
The first series of reference architectures will include the VMware Solution Guide for PCI and the VMware Architecture Design Guide for PCI that help customers to leverage the VMware vCloud Suite and VMware View to deploy secure and compliant cloud infrastructures in accordance with PCI requirements.
It also includes Partner Solution Guides that shows how applications from VMware’s security and compliance partners can be leveraged alongside VMware technologies in heterogeneous environments.
VMware Virtualization and Cloud Management vice president and general manager Ramin Sayar said: "The new VMware Compliance Reference Architectures will help our customers accelerate the move of compliance-sensitive workloads to the cloud while enabling our partners to develop integrated solutions that will help customers meet compliance standards more quickly."
