Vitrium Systems has unveiled a new version of Protectedpdf, a PDF protection offering that is available both as an on-premise enterprise installation and as a software as a service application.
The company said that the new version extends customisable features of the enterprise version to support web-portal authorisation to documents and transparent watermarking, as well as a routine security update for both small business and enterprise editions.
According to Vitrium, Protectedpdf enterprise customers using web-services will have the ability to program a customisable feature into their application to support authorised access to protectedpdf documents hosted on web-portals for their end-users. End-users upon signing into the web-portal using appropriate credentials provided by the portal owner, they can access all protectedpdf documents.
In addition, the Protectedpdf facilitates users to deter unwanted distribution of published content, capture valuable tracking about who is accessing content to improve content protection, electronically distribute published content while maintaining control over intellectual property and control access to content even after document distribution.
