Verizon Wireless suffered 4G LTE outages on Wednesday morning across the US.

The company said in a statement that things are now "returning to normal."

According to a spokesperson of the company, Verizon Wireless 4G LTE service is returning to normal on Wednesday morning after company engineers worked to resolve an issue with the 4G network during the early morning hours today. "Throughout this time, 4G LTE customers were able to make voice calls and send and receive text messages. The 3G data network operated normally," he added.

This latest network disruption is the second one after a gap of few weeks when a similar incident caused widespread outages.
Verizon’s users reported outages on its forums from Long Island, N.Y.; Riverside County, Calif.; Las Vegas; Richmond, Va.; Manhattan, among several other places.

The company said the voice calls, texts and 3G data were unaffected.

However, Verizon did not comment on the cause of the problem, or the earlier one.
