Verizon has introduced new cloud computing offering, which is a flexible, pay-as-you-go, on-demand Computing as a Service (CaaS) offering for small and medium businesses (SMBs).

The new CaaS enables customers to customise the server, storage and network resources required to manage a Web presence or enable company applications.

The new offering provides built-in security including virtual private networks and also allows companies to add more security features; it also allows companies to retain previous computing configurations of their data and servers so data can be accessed in the future.

The new cloud computing offering features include: Web-based console; no term contract required; fully redundant architecture; server cloning; hardware load balancing; comprehensive choice of Operating Systems; and is compatible with existing Apps.

The company said that the new offering is immediately available in the US.
