Verizon Business has partnered with Microsoft to jointly deliver its unified communications and collaboration (UC&C) capabilities with Microsoft Online Services, a cloud-based offering designed for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).
This collaboration enables SMBs to execute an UC&C strategy by combining Verizon voice, Internet, security, mobility and backup services with a host of Microsoft capabilities that can be packaged together and delivered via the cloud.
The company said that the combined offering suite features Microsoft applications including: Exchange Online; SharePoint Online; Office Live Meeting; and Office Communications Online (OCO).
The new capabilities are designed to work together to deliver a seamless experience across a PC, phone or browser or mobile device for access to business applications virtually anytime, anywhere.
Verizon said that it also offers professional services to help assess, design and implement a complete UC&C offering and these new services are available this month to companies in the US.
Verizon Business solutions marketing executive director Carrie Gray said together with Microsoft, they’re delivering a simple, cost-effective opportunity for businesses to adopt cloud-based messaging and UC&C capabilities and improve their business performance.
