Venyu, a provider of customisable offerings for data protection, availability and recovery, has opened a new highly-secure datacentre at the Cyber Innovation Centre (CIC) in Bossier City, Louisiana.

The company said this expansion to a government-grade facility marks a new addition to its portfolio of datacentres and expands its capabilities for managed datacentre and colocation services.

The new 10,000sq ft datacentre includes a 1,250sq ft of office space and approximately 9,000sq ft for commercial datacentre.

Venyu CEO Thompson said with the addition of this new space, the company is increasing their data storage capabilities and control enabling them to provide top-tier data protection, availability and recovery offerings to their customers.

"Given the advent of global security breaches and the constantly changing economic landscape, companies demand battle-tested data protection offerings and Venyu rises to this challenge by working to continually advance its security, managed datacentre, and recovery service offerings," Thompson said.

The company said that many large defense contractors and government entities, including the US Air Force, use CIC’s highly secure cyber facility.
