Vasco Data Security International has released version 3.1 of its Identikey Server, a full blown authentication server for network and application security offering OTP and e-signature capability.
According to the company, Identikey is based on its core Vacman technology and offers an authentication system for several markets including SaaS, e-gaming, online gambling, healthcare, automotive, e-banking and VPN access to corporate networks.
Vasco has said that Identikey can also be integrated by providers of managed services to offer authentication as a service. As a result, authentication is outsourced to a service partner who will invoice the customer for services rendered on a monthly basis while the customer focuses on its core business activities.
Identikey also provides secure access for home workers, travelers and mobile staff who want to access the corporate network and the business applications, added Vasco
Jan Valcke, president and COO of Vasco, said: The new features in Identikey have greatly expanded the opportunities to deploy two factor authentication in various target markets. For small enterprises we use our distribution network to offer companies’ plug-and-play security for remote access, in application security an extra security layer is added to web based applications and for smaller banks we effectively combat man-in-the-middle attacks.
