AT&T Government Solutions has secured a $350m task order, to deploy Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network (VPN) and provide Managed Security services for the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Data Services.
The $350m order, including options, has a one-year base with six one-year options.
Under the terms of the agreement, AT&T will apply its transition planning and network management capabilities to complete a department-wide managed IP network architecture that allows shared services across a new, unified infrastructure.
The company said that it will provide data services to over 5,000 USDA locations across the country.
Additionally, it will also provide Managed Security services for USDA which includes Managed Firewall, Intrusion Detection and Prevention, Managed eAuthentication Service, Vulnerability Scanning, Anti-Virus Management, Incident Response, Secure Managed email, and Managed Tiered Security Services.
