A US judge has rejected property licensing firm Golden Bridge Technology’s patent infringement claims against Apple.

Golden Bridge sued Apple, Amazon and other tech majors in 2010 over two patents for 3G network communications.

Apart form Apple, other tech firms in the suit include Lenovo, Dell, Motorola Mobility, Sony Ericsson, Pantech, LG, HTC and HP.

Bloomberg reported US District Judge Sue Robinson’s ruling which said: "The record evidence remains consistent with the finding of non-infringement."

Robinson has also cancelled a jury trial, which was scheduled to start on 29 April this year.

Golden Bridge lawyer Michael Kelly told Bloomberg "We respect the judge greatly, but justice wasn’t done and of course, we will appeal."

The patents involved in Golden Bridge’s lawsuit related to wireless cellular networks and a communication link between a mobile station and a base station.

Electronista reported that while the other firms were also named in the lawsuit, only claim construction against Apple had moved forward and all other claims were stayed pending the result.
