Untangle, a provider of Internet management applications, has unveiled enhancements to its suite of products to manage and customise web filtering policies.
The enhancements in the Untangle 7.1 include, a web policy manager application and an eSoft web filter application. The enhanced web policy manager facilitates management and automates multiple internet usage policies across organisations; and automates sessions within policy manager, enabling organisations to time-out certain policy changes, the company said.
According to Untangle, the enhanced eSoft web filter enforces safe search, which removes inappropriate or harmful listings from search term results, while allowing administrators to set organisation permission levels depending on policies in place. It also enables temporary or permanent password, allowing for overriding of blocked sites.
