Unify, a provider of application development, data management, migration and content archiving services, has released a new product Q, which enables business managers, IT managers, developers and application end users to gather, analyse and report on data stored on multiple sources as well as create and share reports and data.

The company claims that the new product provides users simplified data access, greater manageability of information and reporting capability. It helps managers to perform on-demand querying and reporting from a single interface in order to automate information management tasks.

According to Unify, the new offering allows users to build custom, complex queries from data in multiple databases, export the information into Microsoft Excel or HTML files or into new or existing database tables where content can be edited.

In addition, it also helps IT managers to update non-integrated internal IT systems, integrate data pools, and perform data editing as well as import and export information. Developers can create database modification scripts for deployed applications, create test data for development purposes, and update and insert data into tables that cannot be maintained by applications, the company said.

Duane George, chief technology officer of Unify, said: “In today’s environment individuals both non-technical and technical benefit from tools that make them more productive and accurate in their analysis and management of information.

“Q meets these requirements as it is built for individuals who want to extract and import data to and from Excel, XML, CSV, HTML and Outlook, analyse the information and create and share reports in PDF, Excel and HTML.”

Q includes a single user version of SQLBase Desktop and is available for a single user license at $489 and €329. In addition, Q may be purchased for embedded deployment for ISVs that want to deploy applications bundled with Q.
