UC4 Software unveils new agent for web services

To automate SOA and cloud computing

By CBR Staff Writer

UC4 Software, a provider of intelligent service automation and IT process optimisation offerings, has unveiled the UC4 Agent for Web Services, which initiates and manages web service-enabled jobs as part of background processing and enables customers to extend the benefits of automation into SOA and cloud environments.

The company claims that the new offering allows customers to bring the cost savings benefits of automation to SOA and the cloud, reduce risks in modernisation projects, and extend automation to web service-enabled applications and tools.

With an intuitive user interface for execution, the UC4 Agent for Web Services supports WSDL and SOAP, and virtually eliminates the need for manual coding and command lines, UC4 software said.

Vincent Stueger, chief technology officer of UC4 Software, said: UC4 is architecting for the future, helping customers integrate and automate applications on the ground and in the clouds. With UC4 V8 and our new Agent for Web Services, customers can bridge traditional batch scheduling jobs with web services or cloud-based applications and manage them all from one automation platform.
