Trend Micro unveils ScanMail for Microsoft Exchange

Includes email and web reputation technologies

Trend Micro has unveiled ScanMail for Microsoft Exchange which delivers content security technology that’s powered by the company’s Smart Protection Network to protect corporations from email threats designed to steal proprietary businesses customer data.

According to Trend Micro, the ScanMail 10 includes key components of the Trend Micro Smart Protection Network such as email and web reputation technologies that work together to directly access the latest, correlated, cloud-based, global threat intelligence.

Trend Micro ScanMail for Microsoft Exchange is part of Trend Micro Enterprise Security offerings, an integrated offering of content security products and services which is powered by the Trend Micro Smart Protection Network. Trend Micro Enterprise Security offers protection from emerging threats while also reducing the cost and complexity of security management, the company said.

Julia White, director at Microsoft Corp, said: Microsoft is pleased to work with Trend Micro to help ensure that ScanMail for Microsoft Exchange is compatible with Exchange Server 2010. This highlights Trend Micro’s commitment to helping customers reduce costs, simplify administration, protect communications and improve user productivity.
