Trend Micro, a provider of internet content security services, has launched Trend Smart Surfing for Mac, a new product to help Mac users safely surf the web with any browser, open emails and instant messaging messages, and stay protected against internet crime.
Regardless of operating systems, consumers need protection against internet crime and identity theft. Trend Micro’s anti-malware and web threat protection technologies protect a user’s identity and personal data, while they shop, bank, and surf online. These technologies block instant messaging and email links that lead to dangerous web sites, said Trend Micro.
With Trend Smart Surfing for Mac, users are protected from online scams that trick them into revealing confidential information; it also prevents them from unknowingly installing dangerous software on their Mac computer, added Trend Micro.
According to the company, the parental control feature allows parents to choose the web sites they wish to block, thereby protecting their children from being exposed to inappropriate content, while still giving them the freedom to enjoy all the benefits the internet can offer. Trend Smart Surfing for Mac is easy to install and use.
