T-Mobile USA has unveiled myTouch 3G, a follow-up device to its G1 Android device with an array of new features.

The new myTouch device comes with new applications including Sherpa – a new application that features GENIE (Geodelic ENgine for Interest Evaluation), a learning engine that automatically customises itself to the user’s preferences. Through behaviour and user feedback, GENIE learns a person’s likes and dislikes, prioritising recommended retailers, restaurants and attractions.

The myTouch device, designed by HTC, features a 3.2-inch HVGA touch-screen display and virtual keyboard, a 3.2-megapixel camera, a music player with a pre-installed 4GB microSD memory card.

The myTouch device also comes with enhanced video capabilities which enable users to record and share pictures and videos, either via e-mail, MMS or one-click upload to sites such as YouTube and Picasa. The device supports fast data speeds via Wi-Fi and T-Mobile’s 3G network.

The company said that myTouch has the multitasking capabilities and one-touch access to the Google services including Google Search by voice, Google Maps with Street View, YouTube and Picasa. It provides instant messaging support for Google Talk, as well as AOL, Yahoo! Messenger and Windows Live Messenger.
