Zeus Technology, a software-based application traffic management company, announced that Japan’s Systems Integrators, TIS, will be including Zeus within its newly launched private Cloud service, offering a software load balancing solution to its customer base.
With this partnership, TIS customers can lease Zeus software, Load Balancer, on a monthly subscription model, which allows customers to pay for what they use each month.
The partnership was endorsed by and handled through Sumisho Computer Systems (SCS) and provides TIS customers the ability to scale their Web infrastructure up and down.
TIS IT Platform services business division general manager of IT Platform Services Planning & Development Dept. Shu Tabuchi said they were impressed with the flexible, pay-as-you-go licensing fee Zeus offers, which makes it a very cost-effective option for their customers.
"Other major advantages for us include ease of deployment, an extensive application programming interface (API) and a seamless upgrade path to the more advanced traffic management solutions Zeus can offer," Tabuchi said.
SCS IP Network Div general manager of IT Product & Service Unit Fumio Miura said they recommended Zeus to TIS because unlike proprietary hardware appliances, Zeus software load balancing solutions sit natively within the Cloud.
"In addition, Zeus’ unique flexible subscription scheme can seamlessly integrate within a Service Provider’s business model, making it a very easy, cost-effective solution. Zeus is a natural fit for TIS," Miura said.
Zeus Technology CEO Paul Brennan said through SCS, they look forward to providing a new value-added service to TIS customers, by ensuring their infrastructure can scale on-demand within the Cloud and their Web applications are fast, secure and continuously available.
