Telstra and Accenture have formed an alliance to deliver a range of cloud computing services called Network Computing Services.

Telstra said that the alliance brings capabilities of both companies together in one delivery model, providing customers its operating IT infrastructure and networks services with Accenture’s transformation, industry, application integration and migration capabilities.

Under the agreement, Telstra and Accenture are delivering cloud computing offerings to organisations across Australia and New Zealand to improve their business performance.

Network Computing Services offers information and communications technology (ICT) services, accessible over a Telstra network connection, and delivered from centralised Australian-based data centres hosted physically within a secure Telstra facility.

In addition, the new service deliver secure, reliable and flexible ICT services and allow customers to move from a fixed to variable ICT cost model across a full spectrum of ‘pay as you use’ services.

Telstra Enterprise and Government group MD Nerida Caesar said the alliance gives customers wanting a cloud offering a blend of skills and capabilities that combine a network with efficient business solutions.
