Sports travel and hospitality products provider Premiere Global Sports has selected the computer security company Symantec’s Protection Suite Enterprise Edition and Backup Exec to centralise protection of its distributed endpoints.
The security company’s applications will enable Premiere Global Sports to protect, back up and provide disaster recovery capabilities for its virtualised business systems.
Symantec Protection Suite Enterprise Edition protects multiple independent servers and Windows endpoints.
The enterprise edition license includes email server security, email and web gateway virtual appliances and desktop system recovery.
Backup Exec reduces downtime and ensures critical information on both virtual and physical systems is always protected and restored in seconds, besides also simplifying both backup and disaster recovery.
Premiere Global Sports Infrastructure and Security director Jason Drake said by leveraging the new security management solution, the company could pinpoint security threats and increase the productivity of its security operations.
"We have trusted Backup Exec to backup our data for several years and the transition from a physical server infrastructure to virtual infrastructure didn’t change our choice in a data protection solution," said Drake.
