StillSecure unveils new public cloud security capabilities

Organisations can now leverage an outsourced service to handle security and compliance

By CBR Staff Writer

Managed network security applications firm StillSecure has upgraded its applications to enable their managed security services to be embedded in public cloud infrastructure.

Cloud Network Security Appliance (NSA), the company’s network security appliance can protect customer cloud servers at most public cloud providers.

The Cloud NSA will enable organisations to spin up a managed security cloud server within their public cloud infrastructure.

The appliance is built on top of CentOS, a free operating system distribution based upon the Linux kernel and it serve as the security gateway device providing inline services such as managed firewall, IDPS, or WAF.

In addition, Cloud NSA can also provide inline services such as IDS, log management, file integrity monitoring, or vulnerability

The 451 Group Infrastructure and Cloud Computing analyst Carl Brooks said, " StillSecure’s introduction of Cloud NSA does just that – it gives providers an important new managed service without forcing them to understand the security space like an expert, and yet still gives organizations a chance to leverage an outsourced service to handle security and compliance."
