StillSecure integrates IAV with Safe Access

Safe Access completes its IAV integration by allowing authorised users to benefit from in-user interface links to the USCYBERCOM website

By CBR Staff Writer

Managed security services provider StillSecure has introduced a new integrated Information Assurance Vulnerability (IAV) application for Department of Defense (DoD) organisations via its NAC application, Safe Access.

Safe Access allows users to set compliance policy by Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) reports directly on IAVA compliance.

With the IAV integration application, Safe Access now provides the ability to research IAVA details by providing direct linking to the US Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) website.

The USCYBERCOM website is the official source for all IAV definitions and is the central hub from which all DoD IAV updates are shared across the DoD for ongoing IT security operations and vulnerabilities.

Safe Access completes its IAV integration by allowing authorised users to benefit from in-user interface (UI) links to the USCYBERCOM website.

StillSecure’s IAV compliance testing includes support for Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems, Microsoft Office, Adobe products, Blackberry Enterprise Server, and others.

StillSecure CTO James Brown said with this new fully-integrated IAV offering, Safe Access users will not need to leave the world of IAVAs to get their job done.

"Competing solutions utilize outboard vulnerability scanners to test for IAV compliance and can take several minutes to give DoD users IAV access. Safe Access does this in 30 seconds or less," Brown said.
