Managed network security applications provider StillSecure and AppDirect, a cloud service marketplace company, have partnered to offer Cloud SMS through AppDirect’s global network of branded partner marketplaces.
The new application is a host-based firewall application that manages and monitors the on-board Linux IPTables firewall.
Cloud SMS places a small agent on a cloud or dedicated server to provide an Web-based UI that allows users to search for the right ports and protocols to block or allow.
Users can now track statistics and utilisation via the embedded reports, the company said.
The new application will now be available through multiple AppDirect-powered marketplaces offered by brands including Bell Canada, SaskTel and Deutsche Telekom.
Cloud SMS is well suited for customers looking to protect their cloud environments without requiring security expertise.
