Teradata, a provider of data warehousing and enterprise analytics, said that Star Track Express, an Australian logistics and transport provider is now using Teradata Active Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) platform to enact upgrades to its website and users portal.

By migrating all data from the legacy systems onto one enterprise data warehouse, Star Track Express avoids the cost of supporting and maintaining separate data marts.

In parallel with the new website project, Star Track Express migrated from its existing SQL Server Data Warehouse onto the Teradata Active EDW platform. Star Track Express led the migration project supported by Teradata Professional Services.

Star Track Express national business solutions architect Martin McManus said with Teradata they have created an customer-centric view of business and have increased their ability to deliver on commitment to provide service at the possible cost.

The new user portal provides users functionality, including a detailed tracking display, costing calculations access, proof of delivery signature viewing, receiver detailed record maintenance and dispatch creation.

Star Track Express new portal demonstrates its commitment to innovation and users service, while handling the mixture of large business intelligence queries, continuous and batch loads without compromising the tactical sub-second queries from the Web.
