Building upon its patented EarthWhere technology, Spadac will support Gtt NetCorp as it implements spatial data management policies and principles throughout the Ministry of Agricultural Development (MIDA) enterprise. As a reseller for Google Earth in Latin America, Gtt NetCorp will also implement Google Earth as part of the service.
Spadac has said that the objective of the system will be to provide MIDA with a means to organize internal geospatial data, discover departmental holdings of geospatial data and distribute geospatial data inter-agency wide within the country and internationally. This new data management system is expected to also allow MIDA to interchange data with other organizations within Panama.
Mark Dumas, founder and CEO of Spadac, said: We are thrilled to have this opportunity to work closely with Google to provide a solution for the Panamanian government. It has been a pleasure to partner with Gtt NetCorp to make this project possible and we look forward to more opportunities to support the international community with geospatial technology solutions.
