Sony Ericsson has expanded its GreenHeart portfolio with the launch of  the Elm phone, Hazel phone and the Bluetooth Noise Shield Handsfree VH700.

The company also said that its ambition is to make all its accessories 100% GreenHeart compliant by 2011.

According to Sony Ericsson, all the new offerings benefit the environment and help reduce CO2 emissions through recycled plastics; E-manual in phone; free from hazardous chemicals; low power consumption charger; walk mate eco application; green calculator; minimised packaging; condensed user guide; and waterborne paint.

The Sony Ericson Hazel phone measures 102.5 x 49.5 x 16 mm, weighs around 120 grams and comes with a choice of superior black and rouge colours. The Elm phone measures 10 x 45 x 14 mm, weighs around 90 grams and comes in metal black and pearly rose colours. Both the phones feature upto 280MB of phone memory and supports SanDisk microSD memory card.

In addition, the phones feature 5 megapixel camera; access NetFront web browser; compatible with Microsoft exchange activesync; FM radio with RDS; access to social networking sites including MySpace, Twitter and You Tube; and wi-fi connectivity. Location-based services such as A-GPS, Google Maps and Wisepilot turn-by-turn navigation are also included.

The company said that both the phones will be shipped with a GreenHeart personal handsfree; the stereo portable handsfree HPM-60J. The Elm phone and the Hazel phone supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 and HSPA 2100/900. The Bluetooth Noise Shield Handsfree VH700 features dual microphone noise shield that eliminates background noise and intelligent voice adaptation.
