Powered by Qualcomm’s 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor, Xperia Tablet Z features 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and an 8.1 megapixel Exmor R camera.

Sony Mobile Communications corporate vice president, head of UX creative design and planning Kaz Tajima said: "Xperia Tablet Z sets new standards in entertainment by matching premium specifications and Sony technology with cross-device connectivity and a consistent user-experience."

The company also said its Xperia Z smartphone, which was also introduced in January this year, will roll out in stores worldwide from today. It’s also claimed to be waterproof and dust-proof.
