Includes enterprise integration, business process management and SOA governance

By CBR Staff Writer

Software AG, a provider of business infrastructure software, has released a new version of webMethods platform, which offers new functionality including enterprise integration, B2B, business process management, BAM and SOA governance (CentraSite).

The company said that webMethods 8 enables companies to improve their overall operation through reuse, management and orchestration of both business and IT services.

According to Software AG, the new release of webMethods is incorporated with, CentraSite ActiveSOA, a business service repository that aligns business process management (BPM) and service-oriented architecture (SOA) with a single system of record for assets; enhanced business process management; and a unified, eclipse-based design environment for service development, process design, and lifecycle management.

In addition, the new release also adds embedded business intelligence to offer process analytics to knowledge workers; business user self-service with user-derived applications, and workspace templates; and new service virtualisation and policy enforcement.
