e-commerce software company Softshare has rolled out new versions of its data translator and e-commerce communications server applications.

Softshare said that the new versions, Delta 5.0 and ECS 6.0, when used in combination with one another, also turn into a middleware application. The applications’ role as middleware comes from added failover and scale-out capabilities, as well as management capabilities that allow users to manage, deploy, and roll back mapping applications across multiple ECS environments.

Delta is a data translator, that supports translation between five data formats: EDI, XML, data files, database tables, and text. It works as an any-to-any mapper to integrate e-commerce documents with enterprise’s internal applications, as well as integrates data between internal applications, the company said.

Reportedly, ECS is a communications server that moves data into, out of, and across enterprise. It supports all common communications standards including POP3, FTP, SMTP, HTTP, and file system.

Robert Fox, lead programmer at Softshare, said: We’ve taken a serious look at what people want in the EAI market and improved upon the products’ flexibility, visibility, and accountability. By focusing on these attributes, we’ve produced products that are not just evolutionary, but revolutionary for Softshare.
