Viv Labs, a startup owned by Siri creators, is working on a human-like artificial intelligence system that will be capable of processing complicated requests.

The system, codenamed Viv, is being built as a more advanced system than Siri or Google Now with the ability to answer users’ specific queries by combining machine learning and making associations with what users tell the system to do.

Viv will be able to process complex requests by breaking down the sentence into parts, and connect them back together using different interconnected resources.

The company also indicates that it will become smarter as people interact with it, according to Wired.

Viv Labs also suggests that Viv will not be exclusive to a device or operating system and users will be able to access it via phones, TV and other smart devices, making the product a direct competitor to Siri, Google Now and Cortana.

Viv Labs co-founder Adam Cheyer told Wired: "I’m extremely proud of Siri and the impact it’s had on the world, but in many ways it could have been more.

"Now I want to do something bigger than mobile, bigger than consumer, bigger than desktop or enterprise. I want to do something that could fundamentally change the way software is built."
