Serena Software has unveiled PVCS Professional 11, an upgrade of its PVCS, the entry-level version management tool.
According to the company, PVCS Professional 11 provides new capabilities to support teams that are adopting Agile development methods and teams that are looking to develop visual prototypes.
The new version includes integration with Subversion and improved security, with features including, Visual Definition of Requirements with Serena Prototype Composer; Support for Agile Teams with Serena Agile Work Planner; Improved Team Collaboration with SBM Connector for Subversion; and Simplified Security with Single Sign-On and Common Access Card.
In addition, the new version supports platforms including Windows 2000, XP SP2 and SP3, Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003 SP2, Windows Server 2008 SP2, MS SQL Server 2008, IIS 6, IIS 7, IE 7, IE 8, and Firefox 3.5.
The company said that the PVCS Professional 11 will be available in September 2010.
