SeeUnity unveils conversion utility for eDOCS

users can transfer contents from eDOCS 6 to eDOCS 5

By CBR Staff Writer

SeeUnity, a provider of enterprise content integration and migration products, has launched the Conversion Utility for Open Text eDOCS (eDOCS), customised for transferring an entire repository, including content, metadata, users and security, from eDOCS 6 to eDOCS 5.

The conversion utility provides two benefits; it allows users to move their content to a very similar ECM system and, it performs the conversion securely, quickly and with minimum of disruption, which also features streamlined admin interface, and library of pre-configured tasks that accelerate the setup process.

eDOCS 6 users should expect the following to be converted such as documents, document numbers, system ids, users, groups, security, profile forms, applications, launch methods, lookup lists.

Also, folders, network aliases, versions, quick searches, workspaces, related items, audit entries, SQL and Oracle eDOCS databases, eDOCS 6 RM containers can be converted to eDOCS 5 folders.
