Secure data by wearing it as an accessory

Pinto wristband comes with 32GB or 64GB of storage space.

By CBR Staff Writer

US based startup BeanBeam is gearing up to launch a fund raising campaign through Indiegogo, in order to bring its waterproof Bluetooth storage wristband to market.

The Pinto wristband can store personal files and requires no USB Plug or internet connection to access stored files. The waterproof wearable storage device comes with 32GB or 64 GB storage and can be charged wirelessly.

Data stored within the device can be accessed through mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets via Bluetooth, after providing a password.

A BeanBeam spokesperson said, "This is a something we have dedicated a huge amount of time to and that we feel incredibly passionate about."

"Pinto is truly a better and more secure way of storing important files. It can be kept on the wrist 24 hours a day. How much more secure can something get? The technology is very exciting and we think people are going to really love Pinto, for all the best reasons."

Pinto measures 5mm thick, 10cm wide and 20cm high. It can be worn with watches or other accessories and has three LED indicators to show battery status.

The company plans to launch its Indiegogo campaign in late 2014 or early 2015 to bring the device to market.
