CA Technologies has said that ScaleMatrix, a new managed service provider (MSP), has selected its 3Tera AppLogic software as the primary platform for delivering ScaleMatrix catalog of cloud computing services.
Under the three-year agreement, ScaleMatrix will use 3Tera AppLogic to provide scalability and availability for business services running in the company’s cloud environments.
The offering will also enable ScaleMatrix to meet customer demands for cloud offerings, while also providing differentiated offerings such as VPDCs, or hosted private clouds.
CA Technologies said that the ScaleMatrix can build, maintain, and manage all of these services from a single software platform, thereby leading to cost efficiencies and ease of operations.
In addition, ScaleMatrix expects the 3Tera AppLogic cloud platform to make it easier to operate and manage services among multiple geographically-dispersed data centres, with its easy-to-use, drag-and-drop interface.
ScaleMatrix CEO Mark Ortenzi said the company selected CA 3Tera AppLogic software to ramp-up their cloud services business.
"The offering works on a range of hardware, including x86 commodity servers, to reduce our upfront infrastructure investment, and gives us the flexibility to expand geographically without incurring the sky-high costs associated with global infrastructure deployments," Ortenzi said.
