Samsung has unveiled its new Galaxy S5 smartphone in efforts to maintain its lead in the global smartphone market.

The new smartphone, which boasts a larger 5.1in FHD Super AMOLED screen, will be powered by a 2.5GHz Quad core application processor, and runs on Google’s Android 4.4.2 (Kitkat) OS.

There is a fingerprint sensor, something already offered on Apple’s latest iPhone, as well as other technologies including a heart rate sensor, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, Hall, RGB ambient light, Gesture(IR).
