Samsung Electronics America has unveiled its Series 7 laptop line which the company claims will empower savvy consumers and design conscience business users to accomplish more in less time.

The new laptop line features thin and compact aluminum chassis, Samsung’s latest Max Screen technology, Intel Core i5 or the Intel Core i7 processor, and AMD Radeon HD6750M graphics card.

The new laptop series also features ExpressCache, a technology which accelerates boot-up and start times. It includes an extra 8GB of flash memory on the motherboard.

The company claims the new laptop enables user to browse Web up to 50-60% quicker using Microsoft Internet Explorer, and offers nine hours of battery life.

The new 7 series features Samsung’s FastStart technology, which enables the laptop to transition from a hybrid sleep mode to full functionality in two-three seconds, while Quick Boot has the notebook ready to go – from cold – in 19 seconds, the company said.

Samsung Enterprise Business Division director of mobile PC marketing Scott Ledterman said the Series 7 is an ideal laptop for discerning users who need to be highly productive everywhere they go.

"The new laptop line is consist of advanced features such as Samsung’s exclusive Fast Start technology, a high-speed processor and a large, matte screen that is visible anywhere, even outside," Ledterman said.

The Samsung Series 7 will be available starting 2 October 2011 at retail price of $999-$1,299.
