Samsung Electronics has launched its new GALAXY S4 zoom smartphone with advanced photographic capabilities.
The smartphone is part of the company’s plan to create a single device that can be used as both smartphone and a high-end compact camera.
GALAXY S4 zoom is equipped with a 10x Optical Zoom 16MP BSI CMOS Sensor combined with the Xenon Flash and the built-in Optical Image Stabiliser (OIS), which is claimed to keep the camera perfectly still.
The phone comes with a new Zoom Ring that allows the user to activate the In-Call Photo Share feature to capture and send an image through MMS to the person on call and can be used to activate the Quick Launch and Shortcut features as well as multiple camera modes with camera zoom controls and Optical zoom control.
Powered by 1.5GHz Dual-Core Processor the device runs on the Android Jelly Bean 4.2 version and is said to have features similar to the recently launched GALAXY S4 including Touchwiz as well as a 1.9MP front facing camera.
The smartphone also has applications like the Photo Suggest, Story Album and the new Samsung Hub, which offers the latest music, videos, books and games.
