Samsung has launched a compact version of its GALAXY S4 smartphone, the GALAXY S4 mini.
Equipped with a 1.7GHz dual core processor, the smartphone is said to allow the users perform data intensive tasks easily and quickly, running on the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system (OS).
The device comes with a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display with 256ppi, an 8MP rear-facing camera and 1.9MP HD front-facing camera, which come with features like Sound&Shot that enable storage of sound and voice while capturing the image.
Samsung has made the smartphone available with the WatchOn app that allows it to be used as a TV remote control and allows connectivity with Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 5.0GHz a/b/g/n, GPS.
GALAXY S4 mini has 1.5GB RAM, offers an internal storage of up to 8GB that can be expanded up to 64Gb with use of the microSD and comes with a 1,900mAh battery.
The smartphone is launched in two versions including the LTE with support for the 2.5G, 3G and 4G data transfer, whereas the 3G version supports 2.5G and 3G data.
