Samsung Telecommunications America (Samsung Mobile) has integrated the Samsung Mobile Cloud Center (SMCC), a US based hosting facility with cloud computing infrastructure, to deliver enterprise mobility services to Samsung mobile smart phones, multimedia devices and tablets.

Samsung says that this effort is vital to the company’s commitment to leverage the power of existing business software and deliver it to more members of the mobile workforce to realise the promise of anywhere, anytime access to information.

The SMCC hosts the enabling middleware offerings that interface with customers’ existing back-end applications, including the SAP ERP and Oracle customer relationship management (CRM) applications.

Samsung claims that its enterprise mobility services will enable customers to realise minimal software set-up and maintenance; fast and easy mobilisation, as infrastructure is pre-installed in Samsung’s data centre.

The company also claims that the centre will provide enterprise with higher productivity/ROI at lower total cost of ownership; quicker time to value; and reliability and security through central hosting.
