Sales of Samsung’s Galaxy Gear smartwatch have reached 800,000 since its launch two months ago.
According to the South Korean firm, the sales of Gear have been better than its own outlook, and it revealed plans to expand advertising for the wearable gadget for the vital year-end holiday sales.
The gadget had not been able to rule the market as it comes with just about 70 dedicated apps, Reuters reported.
The smartwatch, which is currently compatible with Samsung’s Galaxy smartphone, allows users to speak into their wrist rather than a mobile phone.
