Samsung has collaborated with game maker, Electronic Arts, to expand its library of games by attracting developers to its apps store by enhancing financial incentives.
EA’s mobile games publishing unit, Chillingo, will lead the programme known as ‘100 precent Indie’.
According to Reuters, Chillingo co-founder, Chris Byatte said the programme is aimed at developers of all levels.
"Anyone who joins the program can benefit from 100 percent revenue, which is unprecedented in our industry so far," Byatte said.
Under the programme, developers would provide Samsung with a 10% revenue cut, while keeping the remaining. Samsung’s cut, however, will climb to 20% next year.
Scheduled to kick off on 04 March 2013, the programme would also increase the indie fare in addition to more mainstream offerings.
Chillingo co-founder Joe Wee said that through the partnership, Samsung and Chillingo hope to raise awareness among developers of Samsung Apps.
"Samsung is selling more phones than ever and content and hardware, they always go hand in hand." Wee said.
