Smartcool Systems, a provider of energy saving technology and systems, has completed a 25-store Energy Saving Module, or ESM, installation program for Sainsbury’s supermarkets in the UK.
According to Smartcool Systems, the installation program consisted of three stages, an initial test store followed by a further seven store assessment. Upon consideration of these results, Smartcool was commissioned to install the ESM in a further 17 stores.
Smartcool Systems has said that the supermarket chain’s energy management team tested the ESM to ensure it meets Sainsbury’s energy and cost reduction requirements and complements Sainsbury’s Re-Fit program, which is focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
George Burnes, president and chief executive officer of Smartcool Systems, said: Sainsbury’s understands that a green business is good business. Retail customers expect great products, great service and fair prices, and they want to buy from companies concerned about their communities. Installing and using energy-saving technologies that cut greenhouse gases and electrical usage helps retailers meet consumer expectations.
Smartcool Systems is a provider of energy saving technology and systems for commercial, industrial and retail businesses. The company is an exclusive distributor of the Energy Saving Module (ESM) in the UK.
