Real-Time Innovations (RTI), a provider of messaging and integration infrastructure for distributed real-time applications, has entered into a partnership with Remedy IT to support the DDS for Lightweight CCM (DDS4CCM) standard.

RTI said that this is the first integration of Object Management Group (OMG) Data Distribution Service for Real-time Systems (DDS)-compliant middleware with the OMG’s Lightweight CORBA Component Model (CCM) framework. The implementation provides systems integrators with a C++ offering for developing reusable software components and composing real-time systems.

RTI claims that the implementation of DDS standard is a proven offering that has been used in more than 400 systems with performance, scalability and fault-tolerance requirements.

In addition, integration of both DDS and CORBA within the CCM framework enables assimilation of CORBA apps into real-time systems-of-systems integration programs.

Stan Schneider, CEO of RTI, said: “Bringing together open standards-based DDS, CORBA and CCM solutions enables systems integrators to rapidly leverage the benefits of these middleware solutions in a single, consistent and familiar development environment.”
