Researchers at Canada’s Carleton University have developed a new ‘narrative authentication’ system, which claimed to eliminate the need of recalling complex passwords to log on to computers.
Developed by Carson Brown and his colleagues, the new system involves using logging software being operated in the background on a computer or smartphone that logs user activities such the duration of a particular game play.
The software can also be used to record activities on users’ social networking sites and check-ins that made by them, New Scientist reported.
In addition, the software also allows adding users’ own events in the real world such as wedding dates, holidays, travel dates among several others.
According to researchers, the system will generate queries as per its records making logging in a little like playing a text-based adventure game.
