ReD revamps its IP geo-loaction technology to track previously anonymous cyber criminals

ReD will ensure that its technology will always locate the true IP location of fraudsters

By CBR Staff Writer

ReD has upgraded its Internet Protocol (IP) geo-location detection technology, which enables it to track fraud threats using IP identification and geo-location information.

It enables retailers of an online order’s genuine origin location to be quickly and accurately checked.

These new advances in geo-location technology deployed by ReD will ensure that its technology will always locate the true IP location of fraudsters.

ReD CEO Paul Stanley said that the new IP geo-location technology identifies and tracks IP addresses flagged as "Anonymiser".

He added, "On average, rules with "Anonymiser" flagged in conjunction with other ReD Shield services, have a 50-70% cancellation rate, and since its trials, there has been a 30 to 50% improvement in orders processed successfully."
