Recommind, a provider of search-powered Information Risk Management (IRM) software, and Exterro, a provider of legal workflow management technology, have formed a strategic partnership to provide enterprises with an integrated legal hold platform.

The companies said that the integrated platform will provide an enhanced eDiscovery platform that helps enterprises to meet litigation and regulatory compliance requirements. It allows enterprise customers to utilise the integrated platform to manage the EDRM process.

According to the companies, Exterro’s Fusion suite manages legal processes, including the legal hold workflow, notice and acknowledgment processes, tracks custodians and data and publishes collection requirements into Recommind’s Insite Legal Hold application to search, assess, preserve, collect and process relevant electronically stored information (ESI).

In addition, Exterro’s Fusion workflow engine and legal process management suite combined with Recommind’s searching, in-place assessment, collection and processing capabilities enables that litigation holds and eDiscovery processes are thorough, and the mapping of electronically stored information is done in a automatic refresh environment without the need for notifications, manual escalations or extensive interview processes, the companies said.

Bobby Balachandran, president and CEO of Exterro, said: “The strategic partnership between Exterro and Recommind brings together two leading software providers in the legal industry. The result is comprehensive legal defensibility in a fully integrated eDiscovery solution that facilitates the workflow between internal and external teams and accelerates the identification, collection and preservation of data.”
