Radiant Logic, a provider of virtual directory offerings, has released a new version of RadiantOne Identity & Context Virtualization Platform, which enables enterprises to manage identity environments with distributed user populations, such as customers, partners, employees and disparate data sources, including directories, databases and web services.
According to Radiant Logic, the new suite consists of Virtual Directory Server (VDS) Context Edition 5.2 and Identity and Correlation Server (ICS) 5.2, and introduces features for SharePoint and other portals. Its Membership & Policy Builder simplifies SharePoint authentication, and extends its authorisation and profile management capabilities.
The version 5.2 also includes Global Identifier & Profile Builder, which allows enterprises to create a unified list of all identities and their profiles drawn from various applications, databases and directories, without having to centralise security, the company said.
In addition, the new suite comes with a built-in identity correlation and join capabilities, which builds user profiles across multiple heterogeneous data sources and delegates credentials checking to the appropriate backend sources.
Michel Prompt, CEO of Radiant Logic, said: “Managing globally and acting locally is all about using RadiantOne to build a single, unified view of all identities and their profiles, without having to centralise your identity data into a single repository. This next generation of RadiantOne extends this process by simplifying access control and rule management in SharePoint deployments.”
